Founder’s Working Philosophy
DCS was founded on a simple conviction: complex claims require judgement, experience, independence and professional accountability.
My connection with loss adjusting also reflects a family professional tradition. My father was a loss adjuster, and that early exposure to the profession allowed me to understand from the outset the responsibility involved in accepting an assignment, properly representing the client’s interests and managing a claim through technically sound and professionally defensible procedures.
After more than twenty years of experience, I have confirmed that market confidence is not built on promises, but on technical quality, impartiality, ethics, methodological discipline, documentary traceability and consistency in decision-making.
Good loss adjusting is not about producing a figure or satisfying particular expectations. It is about establishing the facts, analysing causation, determining the true extent of damage, correctly interpreting the applicable policy conditions, assessing quantum and developing a technically supported position capable of withstanding scrutiny from insurers, reinsurers, brokers, auditors, legal counsel, arbitrators and other interested parties.
Throughout my career, I have handled claims across multiple lines of business, with particularly relevant experience in machinery and technical risks, energy, oil & gas, catastrophe events and hydrometeorological phenomena, fire and explosion, theft, transportation, liability and product liability, infrastructure, major industrial losses, Business Interruption and cyber risks, among others.
That experience has given me a direct understanding of market expectations: timely information, reasoned reserves, effective file control, clear communication, independent judgement and defensible conclusions.
DCS was created to operate under those principles.
We do not seek to compete on size or replicate traditional structures. Our model is based on direct senior involvement, technical specialisation, independence and teams specifically configured for each assignment, integrating the required resources under centralised technical direction.
Being a growing firm allows us to remain close to each assignment, carefully select both the matters we undertake and the specialists involved, preserve operational agility and maintain direct control over the quality of our work.
Our ambition is not to be the largest firm. It is to be recognised for the quality of our judgement, the strength of our conclusions and the confidence we generate when the matter truly matters.
Direct Founder Involvement in Every Assignment
Each matter is developed under the Founder’s direct technical supervision and active involvement throughout the relevant stages of the analysis, from the initial assessment through to final technical resolution.
